Travel season is over and now it is time to concentrate on fixing things around the house.
With Jerry finally retired he has made his own "honey do" list. I did not put these items on the list, he did it himself.
#1 put gutters on the deck roof.
#2 Tear down and replace the fence between Bob's house and us (neighbor to the south of us)
#3 empty and move the plastic shed (might give it to one of the kids
#4 Build new larger wood shed
#5 cut down tree in front
#6 Make wood benches out of tree
#7 lift concrete sidewalk and driveway to remove roots from tree and re-seat concrete
And then. . .I get to start my list of jobs for him.
The Gutters are done so now we can go out on the back deck and not get rain dripping and splattering on us. Yeah!
Here are the pictures of the shed that has been moved off the pad it was on. I am standing in the neighbors yard so you can see the fence has been removed and the new post are up. In the next few days the boards will be nailed in.
Here is a pic from our side of the fence. Jerry tore up one of my plants (the one growing up the iron trellis on the left). He told me it had to go because of the fence. We will see if it survives.
If you look on the ground to the right side of the pic you see a red mark on the dead grass. that is one corner of the new wood shed. the concrete pad that is there right now will be pulled up and become the sidewalk between our house and the shed. A new foundation will be under the new shed and it will be 16 feet long by 8 feet wide.
Supposedly all the christmas decorations and yard games and tools will go inside it.
More progress pictures as he makes it through his list. Yup retirement is not for the weak.
